The slight side of my body aches and burns in the
sweat drenched sheets
my mind goes back and forth between
thoughts of the gym: the forever treadmill
thoughts of the blue eyed sycophant
i keep bending over and grabing my stomach
empty and pulsing from the shock of symptoms
my eyes shut and i begin an almost immediate dreamstate
where and what can i see?
the great monuements the tall steep cliffs
the red rocks and the double rainbows all surround me
comforting me in this state
i see you far away stranded on the apex of mountains.
you wave and notice the shine from the glint of your watch in the bright
desert soon.
i wish my arms were wrapped around seepinging inside you
my legs locked and twisted into yours as breathe reaches inside our mouths
our eyes are closed dreaming novels together.
my momentary fever ridden love poem.
